Optional. Fill in the size of the capsule you actually have. When set, the schedule table shows each per-dose as a capsule count (down to quarters). Real capsules vary in content between products and batches. Treat the breakdown as a measuring guide, not an exact dose.
Final dose (taken once) before stopping completely.

"Copy schedule" puts the day-by-day plan on your clipboard as plain text — drop it into a journal, Notes app, or message. "Copy AI prompt" wraps the same plan in scaffolding for ChatGPT, Claude, or similar so you can ask for a personalized refinement. "Save as PDF" opens a clean printable view in a new window — pick "Save as PDF" as the destination in the print dialog. (If the popup is blocked, your browser may print the current page instead.)
Leaf alkaloid content varies between strains, batches, and vendors. Grams are an approximation of dose. Most community leaf tapers end with a jump-off at 1–2 g/day rather than tapering to zero.
Reference, not advice. Leaf alkaloid content varies between strains, batches, and vendors, so grams are an approximation of dose. This calculator gives you the shape of the taper; the lived knowledge of what tapering leaf actually feels like lives in the Discord and r/quitting7oh, plus the dedicated page on Quit 7-OH with Kratom Leaf.
Why leaf tapers usually end at 1–2 g/day, not zero
The community’s experience with leaf is that the final drop from a low daily dose to zero is the hard part. Most self-managed leaf tapers jump off at 1–2 g/day rather than tapering all the way down. This calculator defaults to a 1 g/day jump-off; adjust based on where you actually find the cliff.
If you’re tapering leaf as a bridge off concentrated 7-OH or one of the synthetics, the leaf section is the back half of the plan — you’ve already done the harder front-end transition from the concentrate to plain leaf, and now you’re descending leaf itself.
The math
Each day is a percentage cut from the previous day. The duration presets and the custom duration all describe the same shape: how many days to descend from your starting dose to your jump-off. An N-day taper has N entries and N − 1 cuts (day 1 = starting dose, day N = jump-off), so the per-day percentage is pct = 1 − (jumpOff / totalStart)^(1/(N−1)).
The calculator drops the number of doses per day as the total falls so the per-capsule (or per-toss-and-wash) amount stays in a tolerable range instead of becoming a fraction of a capsule.
